does anyone else have a rapid heartbeat?

My heart has been racing all day for the past two or three days.  I feel like I've been out running or something, even though I just sit at my desk.

Does anyone else have this?

Yes, since Sunday. I think it's self-induced excitement though.

Yep, it's all the extra blood your body is pumping for baby.

If you feel like it's your blood pressure rising then you should have it taken.

Have you actually tracked it to count the bps? It's perfectly normal for your HR to increase because the body begins to pump more blood for baby. But if it feels irregular, you might be experiencing palpitations. You might decide to bring it up to your OB-GYN, but relax knowing that it is a normal s/e of pregnancy to have an increased HR. HTH.

My resting HB was always around 60 bpm and now is at 72 if that means anything to you.

I"m glad you asked this--I thought I was crazy!  Every now and again it feels faster, but I'm not running around or having any kind of stress.  So weird.  The blood flow thing makes sense though.

I read that your heart will pump an average of an extra 15 bmp to supply the baby with blood until your body has made up the excess blood it needs. I also feel out of breath just walking from the couch to the bathroom :)

This makes sense. When I was about 4 weeks I noticed the increase in heart rate. I was normally about 75 and my new heart rate is around 90. I had my husband check my blood pressure just to make sure it wasn't high. It wasn't. I think it's normal to have an increased heart rate, but if your blood pressure starts to go up or you feel faint/breathless without doing any activity, I'd ask your doctor about it.

I thought I was the only one!!  I noticed it about a week before my BFP.  I didn't know what was rong with me.  I'm glad reading it is supposed to happen.  Has anyone noticed it at night?  It's kind of annoying.

Your heart has to work harder to pump all that blood. Make sure you're drinking enough!

My heart was racing last week.  I felt as though I was having severe anxiety all week.  This week it has slowed down quite a bit.  GL!
