I was just paid off from my job bas a professional nanny for a family of four and made $20/hr salaried at 45 hours/week. I also got $50/month towards my health insurance on my husband's plan, two weeks of paid vacation, one week sick time, and 11 paid holidays/calendar year. Essentially, to employ an educated and well experienced nanny, you should expect to give her all the perk that a professional would get at any other job.

Re: Cost of Nanny Share?
I had a friend who was getting $21 per hour before taxes, so thats about $18 after, the families would switch who payed her each week.
Some people do taxes, some dont. Also consider if your going to allow sick, vacation pay etc. Most nannies get this.
Some get health insurance too
