u/s looked good - but no NT scan today :-(

Went in for my NT testing today, but the baby was too small to do the test.  :-(

I posted the other day about this - I'm only 11 weeks today, so there was a chance of that happening.  But, the u/s tech was great, she did an external and internal u/s and we got to see the little bean again.  Everything looks good, he's measuring 10w6d and the hb was 171 bpm. DH and I both teared up a little when we heard it (so far, we had only seen it on the u/s). 

So, no NT measurements were taken.  The good news is I go back in 12 days to try again - and will get to see him one more time (not sure why, but I'm getting "boy" vibes these days.)  Hopefully my insurance will cover this extra u/s!

What a relief (but a bit disappointing to not have the test - we are waiting to come out until after the results are back, so that's postponed another couple weeks.)

yay for another view!!  The NT scan has been my favorite u/s yet!!  so awesome that you get to see "him" twice around this stage!!  Bummer that you are waiting to come out though!!!

I liked the NT scan best too!  When I had mine they couldn't get the measurement the first time so I had to go back.  The tech told me to eat a big breakfast.  The first time I just had an apple and he was all squirmy.  For the second I had a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.  The baby was lounging on his back with his feet up.  It was the cutest thing I have ever seen!  So I would say eat a good meal beforehand. : )
