Most people start in the late 3rd tri. I was intending to ask my MFM about recommendations at my 36 1/2 week appointment but went into labor before that happened. Thankfully DH was in the frame of mind to ask and he recommended someone to us. We love him.
We never did. I went with a recc from the NICU and could not be happier
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

We didn't really interview. We looked at a few places online, picked one that had a great website and great feedback from parents in the area and went with them.
We did, however, go tour the practice when I was like 36 weeks. We went ahead and filled out a lot of history and stuff at that time too, so it was nice not to have to do it with a newborn in tow.

I have started investigating them already. But I am ready to ask my ob for recs b/c I am not finding anyone who will even sit down with me-all these pediatric groups seem to think that is a huge inconvenience.
I started looking at websites and stuff around the beginning of my 3rd trimester and I think we started interviewing around 34-35 weeks. We really thought we would just talk to one because she had great reviews and our OB recommended her, but we really didn't like her and she gave us some incorrect information on a kidney condition our baby has. We ended up talking to 2 more and really liked both of them. I guess we won't really know if we like the one we picked until the baby is born and we start going there.
It took 3 1/2 long years, but we finally got our little miracle!
IVF #1 - BFP (6dt)
Unassisted Pregnancy #2 - lost at 15w6d due to T21, severe heart defects, and fetal hydrops
I went with a practice that is down the street from us (across from the Children's Hospital). Only 2 docs there are accepting new patients so I just picked one of them.
It does not really matter to me, since we will only be here until LO is 3 months old at the least.
I'm already looking for recommendations back home though and hopefully have found one, based on another Nestie's rec.
Re: Pedi Interviews
I have to get on this!
My OB gave us some recommendations, and we have family in the area that have given us recs. Now I just need to follow through on it!
