NEFFR whine: SO stinking exhausted

I know, it's selfish... but I really need DH to pick up his socks.  I get that he had surgery on his hand a week and a half ago.  He still has one hand and he is home ALL day.  He could do a load of dishes.  He could straighten up the house a little.  Instead, he sleeps in, watches TV, and waits for me to get home to pick up DS from daycare (he swears he can't change a diaper and therefore we can't pull him temporarily), pick up the house, make dinner, clean up from dinner, play with DS/go for a walk, bedtime routine, get DH ready so he can shower (need to tape a bag over his cast), etc etc etc...

I just need a break.  Doesn't help that I'm at fiscal end at work and it's one of the single most stressful and demanding times of year.

I've tried talking to him about it all and he won't get out of his funk... he just maintains the "poor me, I can't do anything at all... not even play video games" stance. 

Sorry for the whine... just needed to get it out!  I just want to be allowed to be exhausted for one night!

You're being more reasonable than I - I had to say 'he's sick - he's sick' over and over this evening in my head because DH let DS pillage my sock drawer, DH didn't do any dishes, etc, etc.  DH is feeling rather crappy, from a cold, and it's only been a day or so, so you're doing much better than I.

HUGE Hugs!!! I know EXACTLY how you are feeling right now, and I'm sorry. My H.. not so DH right now... is so dang lazy it is killing me slowly, and he doesn't even have an excuse like your DH!

Just take slow deep breaths and maybe get in a hot shower tonight before bed to calm and relax you. Hope you get through to your DH soon.
