H*ll yes!Actually, I really hated it. I only majored in it as part of my parents' diabolical plan to turn me into a doctor. I LOVE chemistry, but the bio part -- not so much. But I do like to tell people I have a BS in BICH (the actual acronym used by my alma mater). Are you doing anything with those degrees?
That is a very neat career! I totally envy you. My BIL is getting his Ph.D in biotechnology at the University of Texas, and although I hated the bio portion, I do envy him now. I despised molecular genetics (omg, still gives me nightmares) and biochemistry back then but looking back, it was sort of neat to ... I don't know? ... be able to explain life at such a microcosmic level. Very cool that you get to work at that level everyday.
(just curious, are you an atheist? I really think biochemistry pushed me to becoming at least agnostic.)
Re: Aggie!
I work for a big-ish biotech company. I approve and release (quality assurance) formulated drug product. Oh the glamor...
Oh I feel your pain but about the chemistry portion. I do love that I have the whole picture of the way *things* work )
