I can not thank you enough for how wonderful you are! Thanks so much for your prayers today, and your encouraging words. I was much stronger today, thanks to your support, than I would have been on my own.
I'm still trying to figure out a way to post all this without making you go blind from reading. So I'll post what I think is the big stuff, and I can answer questions from there.
Let me just say, that this RI is amazing. I am so thankful, and pray she has the answers. But all this is certainly an improvement from my OB and Clomid.
1. The ultrasound found that I have NO circulation in my endometrial lining. Nothing. So there would never have been hope of a baby thriving after implantation.
2. Thanks to PCOS my ovaries are on vacation. They are not ovulating and the circulation to both is very poor.
3. I have a beta mutation on my DNA that is linked with MTHFR. It severely increases the effects of blood clotting in small vessels. So my blood is clotting to easily keeping circulation from being effective in my uterus.
4. My natural killer cells are stimulated, which means they are likely attacking 'foreign body' and attacking fetal growth. This also causes inflammation in my immune system that impedes circulation.
MY BODY IS SO WIGGED OUT! ![]()
Thankfully, there is nothing that will cause my any problems outside of conception and carrying a pregnancy. AND my Dr. is totally a Pro at this. I know she will see me through.
So here's the plan.
1. Induce a cycle within 40 days if my cycle isn't improved from the Metformin I'm on to help with PCOS.
2. Begin injectable blood thinners immediately following AF. Once a day. If we get pregnant, I will increase injections to twice a day!
3. Get US monitoring for O! (My Dr.'s have never allowed this before. I'm thrilled!)
4. Following O, I will begin Progesterone! (Yeah, I've had to twist my Dr.s arm to give me progesterone once I got pregnant, let alone early. I'm so glad!)
5. Following O, also begin IVIG. (This is the big one girls.) They need to give me steroids to suppress my killer cells. The best way to do this is through IV medication. I will have to recieve this every two weeks at Ovulation and throughout a pregnancy.
Most of this I can do with my OB, and she will monitor from the city. She said that I have some problems, but they should have the solution in this plan.
My mind is spinning. But I am thrilled to not be waiting anymore!! I have a plan!
(Just prepare for the complete meltdown in a few days. I might feel the affects of this later! )
Love you girls. Thank you so much!
And feel free to ask away!

How did your RI figure out that you have killer cells? I'm just curious, because I started to worry about this for myself - because I'm neurotic!

I am glad that you are finally getting answers and a plan! I will keep praying for everything to go well! My RE that I met yesterday seems to think that there's a lot more to this killer cell thing than most OBs think. That's one of the tests I'm getting this month. Good luck with everything!
I'm glad you got a diagnosis and have a plan!
