Now a f/u to sleep post below

I spoke waaaaaaaay too soon. So I said below that at 7:10 he was asleep. Yeah, that lasted for an hour. We just spent the last hour doing a pick up/put down kind of thing, and each time he went back down there was a bout of HYSTERICS. Oy!!! DH said just shut the door and let him cry. I did...for 5 minutes. It was excruciating! I just put the bouncy seat in his crib, and lay him down and there were no screams. He's sleeping, for now. Let's see how long this one lasts.

  • I just did pick up/put down with Lucy for almost 2 hours.  Never once did she fall asleep but she was so so exhausted and pitiful.  I caved and put her in her swing.  I don't know what else to do.

No point to this except I feel your pain.  I hope you all get some sleep tonight.

  • It's nice to know that I'm not alone. Not that I am glad you're dealing with it too, of course. I wish we had good sleepers!

Wishing you (and Lucy) a good night as well.

  • Sounds like Jake has a similar temperament as Toodle. Pick up/put down was a disaster when we tried it. He got WAY more hysterical each time I'd put him back down until he was crying harder than I'd seen him cry before. It was awful. Good luck - hope you find something that works!
