on a happier note

The parents (and former co-worker) of one of my students got some really great news late last night. It's such a feel good story!

Last year the mom of the family found out she was pregnant with triplets, after several miscarriages. She ended up losing 2 of the babies at seperate times early on in the pregnancy. She carried the 3 baby up until 6 months and then lost that one as well. Late in the year, she began a long term sub job in our school and with out great details with both talked about our struggles. She let me know that she and her husband had started the adoption process.

At the beginning of this year when her son entered my classroom, she let me know they were now playing the waiting game and could be called at any minute to come meet their new baby. They were really starting to lose hope just recently.

Last night, they got the call to come to get their new son. Yay!! They are a great family and this little boy is a lucky little one to be going to such a loving home.
