My Dr. Is always running late

Ugh. My appointment was at 3:45. It is now 4:15 and my turn is nowhere in sight. I sure wish I had eaten lunch.

I would get super sarcastic when he finally walks in.

I hate that, particularly b/c if you were a half hour late they'd charge you for the office visit and tell you to call back and reschedule.

I had a (non-baby) dr's appt yesterday that was running 4 HOURS behind schedule. I rescheduled....no way in hell I was waiting 4 hours for a freaking eye appt,

But hopefully your wait is MUCH shorter & almost over!

I always have the same problem at the pedi and the OB

I have finally started only booking appt's so that I am the first appt after lunch.

I wish I would have known that at the OB's office when I had #1. I would call ahead and find out how far behind they were before I left the house and run errands or take my time before I left...

Another way to look at it....  I have a wonderful peri. that I see and he is typically about 45 min-1 hr behind schedule.  He is patient and takes the time he needs with moms and babies.  We also have a very popular ob in town who is also typically very late with appointments... again, he takes his time with patients and nobody leaves feeling like they were shuffled through.  Now, this isn't the case with all doctors...but it's another reason to consider!
