1. She falls asleep in the car 98.4% of the time, so in the 3 days we've been using the new seat, I've had to wake her 3x to either put her in or take her out. Ugh. She is no peach when her sleep is disrupted.
2. With it staying in the car all day, that sucker gets stinkin' HOT! We definitely need to cover it, so any rec's for a cover or should we just toss a towel/blanket over it?
3. When she does fall asleep, her poor neck looks like its cocked to a 90* angle. Guess we may need those head support pillows again, wonder what I did with 'em!
4. With her sitting more upright, it seems like the sun is in her face a lot more. She used to be able to turn to the side and kind of hide from the sun, but now she can't escape it. Poor girl. Though the upside of that is DH is finally willing to tint my car windows! I've only been talking about it for 3 years. We're going tomorrow to get a quote. Any tinting recs as well?
Stupid convertible car seat.
Carry on.
Re: Gripes about switching to the conv. carseat...
Married and it feels so good!
4. I got my windows tinted at Mother's Window Tint, and I am very pleased with the job they did. I will say that even with the tint, the sun still shines in DD's face. She's a bit more protected from the UV, but it's still bright, and I got it as dark as is legal( limo tint on the back, but the sides are not nearly as dark as the back).
I had one on those roll shades in the window, but I took it down because when I went to get her car seat inspected, I was told that it can void the car seat warranty in the event of a crash because car seat companies don't crash test with stuff like that in place. Same goes for toy bars. etc.
