NSAIFR: Pls share your matzo brei recipe with me

All the ones I looked up on the internet look pretty boring - eggs, matzo, butter (ghee for me), salt.  Do you add anything to your recipe to zip it up?  Pls note DS has a dairy allergy, so I'm off dairy right now.

  • You can substitute pareve margarine for the butter. If you like savory, saute an onion first and add that to the egg and matzo mixture. You can salt and pepper to taste. If you like sweet, sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on it.

  • I make it the same way, but I use black rasberry preserves on it instead of syrup or other things ppl use, and I absolutely love it!!  as a matter of fact that is what DS and I had tonight for dinner!
