so thirsty --clomid to blame?

does anyone get really thirsty the days they take clomid? i drink about 1-2 liters of water a day normally but today i am just super thirsty.

Yes! I was so thirsty when I took clomid. I also often woke up feeling really dehydrated, almost like a hangover.

Yep! I was generally more thirsty at night and kept several cups of water next to my bed. One the pills stopped, I wasn't nearly as thirsty but I was just telling my DH that I have been super thirsty during my 2ww. Orange juice has really helped, and it has a lot of folic acid so that's a bonus. Not sure if being thirsty during 2ww is common for anybody else.

thanks guys. i figured it was from the clomid, but wanted to see if anyone else had it.

Yup! My thoughts are that clomid dries up CM (for some ppl). The meds that dry up mucus (mucinex, robitussin, etc...) tell you to drink lots of water because it basically dehydrates you to work. So, it's possible that Clomid is dehydrating you. (alcohol does the same thing, all a hangover is is dehydration, so that's why you wake up feeling like you have a hangover)

Are those of you who are thirsty/dehydrated also finding that your CM needs some help?  Trying to decide whether or not to order preseed in advance of starting clomid in ten days...
