Do white spots in LO's mouth always equal thrush? Patrick has white spots along the inside of his lips and sides of his cheecks. His tongue also has some white spots on it too.

with DS1 I developed thrush on my nipples but so far this time they are just raw from a baby who likes to eat A LOT!

I read just the other day that if you can wipe the spots off fairly easily then it's not thrush. Apparently thrush in your LO's mouth is hard to wipe off and can sometimes bleed when the white is removed, too. HTH

How big are the spots?  I have thrush in my boobs so far DS has no symptoms but I have noticed a VERY small dot on the tip of his tongue.  I wonder if that is thrush.  My pedi said if he doesn't have any symptoms that he doesn't need to be treated.  Which goes against a lot of reading that I have done and also what my LC said.  Which is probably why mine won't go away

Not sure, but after dealing with this for 3 weeks and my boobs went from raw (with a fissure, which is probably how it started) to itching like crazy. I'd get it checked out STAT. It does SUCK. Good luck and congrats!
