your baby is crying in the back seat? I struggle with this a lot. I dont think I would ever make it anywhere if I pulled over all the time but I feel like a bad mom just letting her cry in the back.
No. I try and sing or pass back a toy to distract her. Most of the time when she cries in the car, it is because she is tired and she will fall asleep soon.
I used to when Aaron was little. He would scream and scream because he lost his binky. I'd have to get out and give it back to him. That stopped when he hit about 10-12 months old though. He really doesn't get the binky in the car anymore and I can usually distract him with music.

For the most part no. We normally don't drive very far and I can get a sense of what they are upset about (and if it's being in the car seat, stopping is only going to make it worse). We did do it a once when we were doing a longer trip (4+ hours) and one DD was uncharacteristically fussy. I just wanted to make sure her carseat wasn't pinching her or anything.

No, dd doesn't cry in the car very often but I've never pulled over. She usually soothes herself after while but once she screamed for 45 minutes. We were on the expressway and she was over tired so pulling over wouldn't have helped the situation we just needed to get home.

Depends how hard he is crying. Sometimes it is just a matter of the damn red light finally turning green for him to settle down. Other times he is having a nervous breakdown that distracts me too much to feel safe driving.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.

No. DD HATES being in the car, so we would never get anywhere. She screams from the moment we put her in the carseat until we get her out. It sucks, but I just remind myself that I know she is safe and well cared for.
We did go on a two hour road trip and stop half way because I knew she was hungry. I also rode in the back with her b/c she was screaming so much (of course that only works if we are both in the car!)

I alway ride in the back if there is 2 of us so she is fine, but when it is just me she seems to cry the whole time. It drives me crazy but I know she is fine she just doesn't want to be in the seat back there by herself.
When he was really little I would give him one pacifier and if he would lose it, he would scream. I always kept a second one up front with me and when I stopped at a red light I would give it to him (sometimes I would reach back while still driving, but it was not the safest thing!) If he lost both of them, I would eventually pull over and get them both back and start the process over. He stopped doing that though, and he hasn't had to have a pacifier in the car for months now. Now I just give him a toy when he cries while I am putting him in the seat, and then he is good to go. He rarely cries while in his seat and on the move! That is when I sing to him...
Re: Do you pull over when..?
When DS was that little it depended on how close I was to my destination, was it safe to pull over and how recently I had checked his diaper/fed him.
Sometimes he was just mad he was in the car seat and would stop after a few minutes or I would spend the entire car trip singing to keep him quiet.

It depends. If its been awhile since she ate or I think she may have a dirty diaper, I'll pull over.
If not, she's just got to get used to riding in the car, and she'll fall asleep after a few minutes.
