Sleeping in bottom of PNP?

Caroline is most likely over the 15 lb weight limit on the top part of the PNP.  It is right beside my bed, and she sleeps in it for all her naps and sleeps in it at night.  We all, including my DH, like this arrangement, and would like to keep it this way for several more months.

So, is it okay to let her sleep in the bottom of the PNP?  I'm just not ready to move her to her crib in the nursery...and we have a huge convertible crib that won't fit in our room without some serious manuevering, but if I have to, I will make DH take it apart and move it.

I'm trying to accept the fact that she will eventually sleep in her crib in her bedroom...but I'm just not there yet, and neither is my husband.

Thanks!!

  • Toodle has slept in the bottom of his for the last 3 months (on the rare occasions he's not in our bed). Our crib is just decorative, lol.

  • Paige slept in her pack n play in our bedroom until 6 months.  Although we kept her in the top part.  The weight limit in ours is higher than 15 lbs.  I don't remember what it is though.

I think the bottom is fine! When Paige spends the night at my folks, she sleeps in the bottom of their pnp.

  • Of course she can sleep in the bottom of the PNP.  That's where Jacob sleeps when we travel with him.  She would be just fine.  Although, they do love to rub their hands on the mesh sides...good texture!  :)

  • It made me a little nervous putting her in the bottom.  More nervous then putting her in her on room.  I wanted to keep her in our room but hubby would never have moved the bed for me even though we have plenty of room.

It was easier then I thought to make the move. I do have a video monitor that I look at a LOT LOT LOT.  She is starting to notice when we are in the room and things so I am glad we made the change before she got to used to sleeping with us.  I know how to feel it is hard on me then her.

We did just go on vacation and she slept in the pnp and did just fine but I checked on her a lot to make sure she wasn't getting close to the sides.  When she starts to roll I guess I will have to find a new travel bed situation.

    Good luck.

  • Brady and Nolan both sleep in one for all naps at day care. It has never been an issue.
  • When Penny moves out of our bed, she is moving into the PNP...lower level:)
