Delaney's been around for a long time, I don't think it's trendy. I like it but I loathe the nn Lainey.
This exactly!! I hate how nicknames can really ruin a name! We both also like the name Giana but I think I would vomit if someone ever called her Gigi! Looks like I'm changing my mind on Delaney too!

Yeah, I wouldn't name my child something where I hated the nickname (although i think Gigi is kind of cute). Good luck!
I've never liked this name. It's one of those trendy names that I refuse to accept (others include Harper, Sloane and Liam). I don't think it ages well also.
Married 5/31/08 * TTC#1 9/09 - 2/11 after anovulatory diagnosis and TTC for 1 1/2yrs with several medicated cycles and one chemical pregnancy, we have our first bundle of joy!
IT'S A GIRL!
#2 EDD 2/5/13 dx with anti-BIG E antibody, seeing a MFM
I don't take one single minute for granted.

this is why I took Genevieve off my list I don't like Jen or Jenna...just not worth the risk.
I love Laney as a nn for names such as Melanie, Elaine, etc... Delaney makes me think of "duh laney"... so in other words, no, I am not fond of it.
A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

Before my brother was married he dated a woman named Laney Delaney. Horrible i know! Delaney is not bad at all. although it is cutesy IMO i think it would age well and if it suits you then go for it.
I love it. It's at the top of my list. It's an English name but is a typical Irish last name. I like it for the Irish qualities it has! I don't think it is trendy.
