diaper rash ?

So, can diaper rash be located to just the front?  What can cause it in the front?  We haven't changed his food.  He's been in disposables all day.  He was in the microfiber/organic over the weekend.  I didn't see it this morning, but noticed it this afternoon.

Thoughts?  TIA

Re: diaper rash ?

  • I would think it's possible.  Didn't you recently start using CDs?  Could it maybe be a sensitivity to the detergent?

FWIW, I really like the diaper rash cream I got from m_and_m.  It's called Grandma El's and it's CD compatible.  One treatment on first sight of diaper rash and it's GONE by morning!

  • I thought about the sensitivity to the detergent, but he's been wearing them in the evenings and overnight and nothing all week.  until nowConfused

  • I think it's possible if you happen to keep him in a wet diaper too long, the urine can burn the skin.  Along with the "moisture" issue.  I used cornstarch for keeping that area dry and it also helped clear up small diaper rash issues.  I found a little container that worked like a baby powder dispenser to just sprinkle a little on at a time.
  • My guy's berries get rashy sometimes when he's in a damp diaper and hot. It's warming up out there so I know to check more often if he's had a wee or not.

For us, a little air time works like a charm. or a bit of cream too, but I like baby booty so air time usually wins ;)

  • Will gets rashes like that if he's in a wet diaper too long. Creams don't work as well as naked butt time, so crawls around without a diaper a lot in the evenings if he's got a rash ;)
