My SIL is getting married, there are 6 kids. My 2 girls and Nathan then my two 2 yo nephews and 4yo niece. She wants Allison to be the flower girl (she's her goddaughter) but she really wants to include everyone so there aren't any hurt feelings. Any ideas???
Re: any way to include 6 kids in a wedding????
Could Nathan be a junior usher? We had DH's cousin stand and hand out the little program things, I think. He was about the same age.
My 3 and then my sister's 2 kids are all in my brother's wedding. They're all 4 and under, so they're ring bearers and flower girls. I've heard of people using them as bell-ringers (before the bride) if she's into that kind of stuff.
The three girls can all be flower girls, your son - like GHM said, Jr. Usher/groomsman or candle lighter (if she's having candles at the alter), and the two younger boys could maybe both be ring bearers or even do the aisle runner.
If she is going to have bubbles for her guest to blow as she leaves the church, they can pass out bubbles to the guests.
Pass out programs
I had 2 jr. bridesmaids (one niece who was 10, one cousin who was 9); 2 flower girls (one niece who was 7, DH's niece who was 3); 2 ring bearers (DH's nephew's who were 8 and 5- they held a tray inbetween them with the ring pillow on it)... and a cousin who was 12, he handed out the programs.
This worked out pretty well and it was really cute having a bunch of little kids. my wedding was at 2pm so no one was too tired or cranky (except me! haha) (I also had 4 reg. each BMs/GMs too!) it was a large party but the pictures were so nice too.
The flowergirl situation worked out really well since one was a little older and helped the younger one not feel weird going down the asile. Plus if the younger one would have freaked out and refused to go down the asile I still would have had one!
