DS learned the meaning of hot tonight :-(

He touched the electric skillet while dh was cooking dinner.  I feel so bad.  He keeps holding up his hand saying hot for me to kiss it.  ::heart breaking::

  • Ouch!  That makes me cringe.

  • I just put some breastmilk on it.  I know he'll heal but I hate that this is the way kids generally learn the bad stuff.
  • Oh good - hopefully the bm helps.  =)

  • Poor little guy. I'm glad it was just a little bit on his hand. My DS getting a bad burn is one of my biggest fears.

  • DS somehow managed to touch the toaster about a month ago... very minor burn and he was fine but I called to doctor to make sure.  The nurse I talked to basically told me I was stupid for asking about using breastmilk on it and said not to.  Thanks for making me feel like I wasn't crazy!

I use breastmilk on all the cuts/scrapes/hurts of ds and dh. I'll do the same for dd. It works!
