This summer I'll be moving (back) to Chicago. We're expecting our first in October. Any OB recs? I'm trying to get a jump on this stuff now so I don't have to worry about it later. I'd like to deliver at NWMH and we'll probably live somewhere on the north side. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
Thanks!
Re: Moving to Chicago (OB recs?)
I'm a big fan of "Dr. V" (Dr. Venkatachalam) at the Northwestern Specialists for Women. I still haven't made the rounds and seen everyone in the practice yet, but so far so good. Their office is at 900 N Kingsbury which is on the northside.

I delivered my oldest at NW. I loved my medical group--Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation. Dr. Dana Gossett was who I saw for most of my appts. and Ruth Michon, NP (she is the sweetest woman!). Dr. Susan Tsai actually did the delivery and she was great too!
I would have stayed w/ the group, but we had an insurance change and had to switch.
Though I was also happy w/ my OB at Swedish Covenant where I delivered my twins--Dr. Maura Brennan.
Check out the Women's Group of Northwestern. All the OBs there are great! My primary OB is Dr. Levitt.

Ditto. My primary doc is Mia Norlin, but I've had really great experiences with Drs. Buscher & Williams, too.
I did not care for this group AT ALL. I felt like the docs were always in a rush. The nurses were in a rush. MULTIPLE x's, I was highly disappointed with the attention I received. Both when I found out I was pregnant at the office and when I found out I had a miscarriage at the office...I would not recommend the practice, even though it was highly recommended to me by two people. I found some individuals to be very unprofessional...but I think it was the culture of the office to some extent... I thought Northwestern + Michigan Avenue=professional. Not so. I'm SO much happier with the group I see in Evanston. More relaxed, more intimate. Same staff every time I go. Friendly.
