ENTIRE GYMNASIUM PACKED TO THE GILLS WITH GREAT BUYS FOR KIDS
Vast Selection, Low Prices, Top Quality Stuff for Kids
at the Concordia MOPS Everything for Children Sale
San Antonio, Texas March, 2010 -- Savvy San Antonio parents know a great deal when they
see one. With thousands of gently-used children?s items, including furniture, toys, books, clothing, and equipment, the 9th Annual Concordia MOPS Everything for Children Sale, open
free to the public on Saturday, April 24, 2010, will be the place every discerning San Antonio-
area mom or dad will want to be.
After the more than 130 local sellers drop off their trunk loads and truck-fulls of top-end
children?s items the day before the sale, the entire gymnasium of Concordia Lutheran Church
(located on the Northside on Huebner Road at Loop 1604) will be neatly packed with wall-to-
wall bargains for kids that parents just can?t pass up.
Concordia MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) runs this sale every year as the organization?s
sole fundraiser. ?The Everything for Children Sale is a win for everyone involved,? said
Concordia MOPS Service chairwoman Amy Sanders. ?With just this one huge event, our
consignors are able to earn some extra money, our MOPS organization receives its funding
for another year of outreach to area moms, and families from all over San Antonio enjoy an
economical way to bring home great buys for their children?s closets and playrooms.?
Top-selling items include gently-used furniture like cribs and dressers, high chairs and
strollers, and rack upon rack of name-brand clothing (size 0-12 years) for boys and girls. The
sale also includes rows and rows of other baby equipment, toys of all kinds for kids of every
age, bedroom d?cor, costumes, books/entertainment and maternity clothing. ?We go the
extra mile to ensure that the children?s items sold at EFCS are in great condition and are of
the top quality,? Sanders said.
Local grandma Peggy Klein and her daughter, first-time shoppers last spring, were surprised
by how many great items they purchased. ?I got a gently (if ever) used race track table for my
two-year-old grandson that he adores,? she said. ?I bought my one-year-old niece the most
adorable Neiman Marcus hounds? tooth winter coat that gets so many compliments. We also
got a nice wooden high chair that I hope to use for many years. We will definitely be back to
the Everything for Children Sale this year. I have a new grandbaby to shop for!?
The Everything for Children Sale takes place Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. until
1:00 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church (16801 Huebner Road at Loop 1604). It is open to
the public and there is no entry fee. Shoppers can purchase their great finds with cash or
personal check with valid identification.
Concordia MOPS is a Christ-centered community of mothers, open to any area moms with at
least one child at home falling in the age range of newborn to Kindergarten. With bi-weekly
meetings on the campus of Concordia Lutheran Church, and plenty of other relationship-
building opportunities for moms and kids alike, MOPS provides a welcoming atmosphere of
