Adiri bottles?

Has anyone tried these bottles?  DS is not wanting to eat much from the bottle at all while I'm at work.  Some days are better than others, but it seems like on average it's about 4-7 oz the whole eight hours he is with the sitter.  We have spent quite a bit of money already because we've tried three different bottles (Dr. Browns, Breastflow, and Born Free.)  Now pediatrician has suggested these Adiri bottles.  Has anyone seen these locally?  No luck at Target.  I'm wondering if the kind of bottle is even going to make a difference and if I should even spend more money on buying a different kind?  Will he just get used to not nursing during the day or do some babies really prefer a certain type of bottle?

Re: Adiri bottles?

  • I got one for DS because he was refusing the bottle as well... like you I had to buy every bottle under the sun!  He did end up taking this bottle and it was what helped us to move on to other bottles after.  I only bought 1 (got it at BabyEarth in RR).  I thought about buying more but never did before I was able to transition him to other bottles.  They are VERY easy to clean so that is a plus!  No extra parts to scrub.  From time to time, they pop up on the Gaga Deals so you can keep your eye out. Good luck.

  • Good to know they worked for your DS and it's definitely a plus that they're easy to clean!  We have to go by Baby Earth soon to return something so I may pick one up while I'm there.  Thanks for your input!  Fingers crossed that he will take this one without hesitation.

  • I picked up a few at Target on the sale rack. They were 50% off, so maybe they were getting rid of them for good. Buy Buy Baby has them. DD will take it as well as she'll take any bottle....which is begrudgingly. I like the bottles. However, I find that they leak. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Buy one and try it before you buy a bunch.

FWIW, DD likes the soft sided silicone bottle from Playtex. Both the Adiri and this one make it possible to just squeeze the milk into her mouth which works better for her than sucking on the nipple. sigh.

  • Thanks, I will definitely only buy one and try it before buying more (learned my lesson with that)  Hopefully, he'll take it and not have to resort to the point of squeezing the milk in.  How old is your DD?  Does she always have to have the milk squeezed into her mouth or will she suck sometimes?  My DS will suck for a little bit and then scream, then suck a little more, then cry some more, so it's a long process just to get a little bit down him.
