I had my hospital bag all lined up for a "normal" delivery, but baby has decided to stay breech. So, now we've got a scheduled c-section. Does the hospital bag stay pretty much the same with the exception of not needed the things to sustain me through labor?
Re: What to pack for a planned c-section?

Bring clothes to layer with. Your hormones go all over the place so one night I was sweating in bed because I was so hot and like an hour later I was freezing. Also, don't forget to bring something to change into to sleep in. Since you're in the hospital for a few days you'll get sick of wear the gowns and want to wear your own clothes. I brought clothes for during the day but for some reason I totally forgot about sleeping clothes...
As someone else mentioned, bring with your breastfeeding pillow if you plan on trying to bf. I recommend the My BreastFriend pillow over the Boppy... it's so much better!
A comfy bathrobe and slippers were nice.
Like others have said - a long breastfeeding nightgown. I had a nightgown but it was to short and left me feeling exposed to my guests everytime I had to get up to use the bathroom or walk around.
Your hospital bag can remain pretty much the same for the c/s. You are going to need to put more clothes in it though. I found yoga pants to be the most comfortable to wear after my c/s. They were high waisted enough that they didn't rub against my incision. I bought a package of boyshorts to wear too.
I brough my laptop and Ipod with me in the L&D room to keep me entertained or help me relax. GL with your c/s!!
I was given this support thing to wear during the day (it was like a girdle lol) so that kept EVERYTHING from rubbing on the incision. I wore it home from the hospital at the advice of a friend - she said any bumps in the road will cause you pain - and was fine. I had a pair of maternity jeans over it (not my best choice !! I should've brought sweatpants but ya live ya learn!!)
FWIW, I wore that like all the time before my discharge and felt great by the time I got home.
