I know this is an annoyingly popular topic!! For months C refused bottles and I had to give him cereal 3times/day. now that we no longer have that issue I'm afraid I'm not giving him enough/too much solids! If you could share your solids schedule (and how many ounces....if it's table food maybe you could guesstimate!!), I would REALLY appreciate it!!!! TIA!
Re: 9months plus solids question
Hi! I don't know if this helps, but here's what we do:
4 6oz bottles a day and three "meals". One meal is a YoBaby yogurt and I mix some cereal into that. He either eats the entire container or almost the entire container. Another meal might be a stage 2 tub of Gerber fruit and some cereal mixed into that. He has been refusing his veggies lately so a third meal might be 1/2 container of stage 2 Gerber veggie (if I'm lucky) and then I'll make about 3 tablespoons of plain cereal that he'll gobble up. No finger foods yet. Oh, and a couple of sips of water out of his sippy cup/day.
I BF 2x per day (morning and night) and then he gets 3 5oz bottles of formula a day. He eats solids for breakfast, lunch and dinner following the bottle. Usually looks like this:
breakfast: a container of baby yogurt or a 3rd food fruit
lunch: 2nd or 3rd food veggie (we're just now starting to transition to 3rd foods at lunch time)
dinner: varies by day, but he usually eats the equivalent of 2 2nd food servings--either a fruit and a veggie or veggie and meat, etc.
We're also giving him some finger foods at times--a few yogurt bites at breakfast, pieces of blueberry muffin, graduates puffs & wagon wheels, etc...
I am curious to hear what others are doing...
