For my shower, I got a bunch of receiving blankets, but also got 6 thick, warm blankets. My babies will be coming very soon (in the next few weeks at the latest) and I was wondering how many of these heavier blankets I'll need. One set is from Pottery Barn Kids and is really expensive, so I'm debating whether to exchange them for something I may need more. I live in Chicago so it can still be cool in April but with summer coming up, I don't know how many I'll need. I'd appreciate any advice - thanks!
Re: Stroller / heavy blankets
think also about what you'll need in 6mos. it will get cold again!
also, it's nice to have some things that you wouldn't necessarily spend $$ on yourself.
i live in san diego, and just have 2 thicker, warm, stroller blankets. also depends on how much you'll be taking them out in the winter, but i'd keep at least 4 (2 each).
There was a time that I felt like we had too many blankets, but they have actually come in handy over the years! We've ended up using all of the ones that were given to us at our baby shower, and newer monogrammed ones that DH's company has sent with each new child.
If you could really use the funds to purchase other things, you won't need them all in the near future... but they may be nice to have down the road : )
