We were thinking of naming our twin girls Lila (Lie-la) and Lily. Do you think these names are too close? I am a twin and we're named Jackie and Julie and this didn't bother me growing up. Any other names that may go with either? Just not Sophia, it's my cousin's name. Also no Ava's, my sister wants to name her child that. Thanks!
Re: Twin Girl Names
Both are beautiful names but they are kind of a tongue twister when you say them together.
My MIL has two dogs named Lily and Emma and although the dogs are brats, I've always thought those names go really well together!
I think they're too close, but I'm not one for matchy sounding names. GL!
Too close. Too cutesy.

This.
Both beautiful names, but I think it's too matchy matchy for twins. I don't mind the names starting with the same letter, but there's very little difference between Lila & Lily.
How about Lucy? I love that name.
I like both names, but I think they're too matchy matchy.
Keep one of them, and find another name. How about Lila and Lucy, Lily and Leah, Lila and Lauren? (if you do want them to have the same letter.)
too close in my opinion.
I LOVE Lila, Lily is a bit too common.
If it were me, I'd go with...
Lila & Lucy
Lila & Lucia
Lila & Lara
this!
Definitely too similar-it's not that they are 'matchy', it's that they have almost the same letters, so they are almost the same name.
I would pick one of those to use and then pick another name for the other twin.
I agree. I think it's kind of nice to give twins a bit of a way to distinguish themselves.
They're beautiful names, but I think they're way too close for twin names.
Some other names you may like: Eliza, Violet, Isabel, Ivy...
