Ever sick while pregnant?

I have been sick for the past few days.  I called the doc as soon as I knew I had a fever.  When I went in I was only having a little sore throat and a low grade fever (99) but my gland on the left side of my neck was super swollen and it hurt to even move my head.  The doc said I probably started out with a viral tonsilitis that spread to an infection of the lymph node.  I started an antibiotic, but things got worse from there: spiking fever, chills, achiness, and then the rash.  Turns out even though I had taken the antibiotic without problem pre-pregnancy, the babies weren't too happy with it.  So, they changed the antibiotic, but in the meantime I was dealing with 102 degree fever even while taking tylenol every 4 hours.  I think I'm finally beginning to get over the worst of it.

I know that fevers at this point in pregnancy aren't as big a concern, and that certain antibiotics are safe while pregnant, and of course my doctor has assured me that everything should be fine, but I can't help but worry.  Did any of you go through something like this?  Did everything turn out ok?

Sorry you are so sick. I got really sick twice in my 2nd tri.  I was finally put on an antibiotic and prescription cough syrup and after about two days  I started feeling better.  I was very frustrated though. I didnt want to take meds of any kind and wound up on so many including nausea meds.

From what the docs can tell, my girls are okay (not that it has ever been a concern to them) - body parts are all good, heart rates, weights, etc....
