We have been doing solids for just over a month but only started doing two meals a day for about 1.5-2 weeks. Just wondering, do any of you miss a meal? We ebf and he seems content on that he never fusses to eat more if we miss a meal. Today we didnt do any solids, he doesnt seem bothered at all. WDYT? Is it horrible to miss a meal or not do solids one day?

Re: If you have been doing solids for a month or more come in
I follow the 'rule' that if lo is happy then great! I personally wouldn't do just formula and no solids, but bf'ing and missing a meal or two I don't think is such a big deal.
"You're gonna miss this You're gonna want this back You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast..."
My pedi told me with my son that solids are nothing more than practice for the first year. He is going to get what he needs from you. I have EBF both my kids, and have had no issues. I would not worry about it. It is easy to fret about, but they really are ok.

I agree.
If LO is fine with it, no big deal. As ppl said, most nutrition comes from bf/ff.
My DS would be upset.... he's a great enthusiastic bf and solid eater...he gets so excited when the bowl comes out of the fridge!
The ultimate goal is to transition them to only foods at 12 months, so I try really hard not to miss solids-meals if we can help it. However, within the first couple of weeks of adding a food, anything goes. If we miss that new meal one day, no biggie.
What we struggle with is finding the balance between how much food to offer so she'll still drink enough formula. If she doesn't drink enough during the day, she wakes up in the middle of the night which is no bueno!
