They are doing well! They are still in the NICU. Lucas is breathing on his own, now, and gaining weight. He's doing really well. Elena is doing ok. She keeps on having apneas and bradys so it's day-to-day.

How are you? How's the twins?

they are still cooking and my cervix is holding steady. i was in the hospital over night last night to get steroid shots. and have a growth scan on thursday.

that's awesome that lucas is breathing on his own! any timeframe on when they may be able to come home?

2 weeks minimum but they still have requirements to fulfill!

That's awesome! Those steroid shots were the best thing I ever got. Who knows where we would be if I hadnt gotten it? I am so glad your cervix is holding on! Haha! Only people on here would enjoy discussing the cervix! :)Enjoy it while you can! It flies.

30 weeks? That's amazing! I am so happy! Keep going for a minimum of 7 more weeks, ok?!

I never actually posted an entire birth story but I did post when they were born!

I can just tell you now. They were born on March 17 at 8:49 AM (Lucas) and 8:51 AM (Elena). Lucas weighed 4lbs 4oz and 18in. Elena weighed 3lbs 1oz and 16in. The morning of the 17th, I was dx'ed with severe pre-e. My BP was 200/115 and my protein levels were 4+. They had an emergency c-section, right away!

Wow- how scary! I monitor my bp at home like a crazy thing b/c when I was taking YAZ I had to keep track so I figure if I have the monitor I might as well use it!

Our goal is 6lb babies at 36 weeks.  I woke up a couple of days ago with April 28th stuck in my head so I went to the calendar and there's nada for that day- so who knows!?!?

I'm so glad you're doing well and will get to take your babies home in 2ish weeks!
