If I'm trying to maintain a certain style/cut I have to get it cut every 4-6 weeks because my hair grows really fast. Usually I just get it cut pretty short, with layers that will grow out nicely, and then not cut it again until it's long enough to annoy me. That usually lasts me about 3-4 months.
I haven't had my hair cut in over a year! Last time I cut my hair, I went chin length (it's usually way past my shoulders) and then I got pregnant which turned into lazyness and then bed rest, then 2 weeks in the NICU. I just haven't gotten around to it, totally ridiculous I know. Plus it costs a fortune around here and I can't justify spending that much money right now. I don't even dye my hair anymore, a first since 8th grade!
Then again, my hair is long again and I'm happy about that.

This... Except that at this point, I haven't had mine cut since a few weeks before my wedding (in August). ugh.
TTC with MFI, PCOS, and endometriosis since February 2010
BFP January 20,2012, Loss confirmed January 22,2012
March-August 2012: Various medicated/IUI cycles, all BFN
Laparoscopy/Hysteroscopy October 2012: Fall Cleaning, Uterus Edition
I get mine done every 4 months or so. I refuse to pay the ridiculous prices and taxes out here for it ($50+ tax for a simple cut at a halfway decent place).
So when I'm up in Wisconsin visiting my parents, if there is an open appointment I get it done for about $28.
I should have it done more often though; my hair is awful.
