If you have been or are on pelvic rest, please come in!

Hi. I've been on pelvic rest since 3-9 for blood clots. So, about 17 days. My next u/s to check them isn't until April 5th. And I don't even know if I'll be unrestricted then, because one of my clots is right over my cervix, and it's large.
   My question is....I still want to be able to satisfy my husband's sexual needs even though I can't have sex, but I'm having trouble. I find myself getting frustrated because I have to kind of get in the mood to be in the mood to do things for him. So how do you get in the mood enough to do those types of things, without frustrating yourself? Or does he just suffer the same as you? lol. Thanks!!!!

sorry, can't help you with this as we've done nothing for months!!

I can tell you that your DH will understand if theres not much intimacy. I struggled with this early on but after talking with DH, he is not concerned one bit. He understands I'm sure yours does too! In all seriousness, don't break the pelvic rest rule (I know it's tempting) it's a big no no to drs!

Thanks for the reply. And no, I wouldn't break the rest rule. As tempting as it is, I'd feel guilty if anything happened to baby. Good luck to you!

Fake it til you make it!  I mean, you don't have to actually make it...ahem.  Boy, being in the hospital at least i don't have to deal with this anymore.  It is not nearly as fun when it is one-sided.

I've only been on bedrest for 6 days now so I'm probably not much help. ?We definitely can't have sex & I don't want to have an orgasm because my uterus contracts when I do. ?The only option is for me to blow him (am I allowed to say that on here?) which I haven't done yet. ?I actually like doing that & I know if will work me up & frustrate me. ?Poor DH has been waiting on me hand & foot so I probably should throw him a bone soon.

wow...that's really nice of you!!  When I was on pelvic rest, I made him handle everything himself...I was already so horny from not being allowed to do anything...I wasn't about to torture myself anymore!

Oral would be nice but since I am on bedrest and can't sit upright or lay flat without feeling terrible I haven't managed it. Most DHs understand and I think handle it themselves until restrictions ease or baby comes.

DH is really understanding of the situation and neither of us wants to do anything that could potentially danger LO. I try and give DH a 'hand' a few times a week to keep myself in the intimacy, but at the same time it doesn't arouse me.

I've been on pelvic rest since 11 weeks because of my SCH that won't go away. 

It's sad, but I'm sort of past the horny stage now.  My DH still whines (although he understands, of course!), but I'm letting him take care of it himself. I don't want to torture myself to be honest.

At this point, I'm just happy to be off modified bedrest and back at work.
