crib & jogging stroller recs

Can you mommies recommend your baby cribs and jogging strollers?  I am awaiting "Baby Bargains" book, but wanted all of your input based on either personal use or reviews.

TIA,

Bri

Re: crib & jogging stroller recs

  • I have the Baby Mod Olivia crib for our little girl and can highly recommend it if you like the modern look. It is sturdy, well-made and affordable. I did a lot of research but was convinced to go with the Olivia after some great recommendations from fellow bumpies.

As for jogging strollers I am considering the Tike Tech CityX3, Bob Revolution and the Phil and Teds as my main three contenders. I'll be interested to hear everyone else's feedback.

  • The Bob Revolution is a great jogging stroller, it's not too heavy and has really great suspension.  Also the tires are specially designed for it you go to the beach so it doesn't get stuck in the sand!
  • I bought the BOB Revolution for my jogging stroller, I have several friends who raved about it, and I went and gave it a test drive in the store, and it was the smoothest ride by far, with the front wheel turned with such ease, of course you can lock the front wheel for when you go jogging...the stroller goes for $389 + car seat adapter is $60.  I run a lot, so I just got this for my jogging stroller, I also like the modern looking strollers, and was really loving the Baby Jogger City Select, the new one that you can add the 2nd seat & it has 16 different positions, pretty cool...but this is our 1st baby, and I didn't want to make a decision now based on what I'll want when the 2nd baby comes...so I went onto CraigsList and bought a 1 year old Bugaboo Frog for $400 with all the accessories, it was in great shape & had about $500 in accessories thrown in with it, so I was happy with the purchase.  The BOB gets a A in the Baby Bargains book too! Good Luck stroller shopping!

Oh for baby furniture I bought mine at JCpenny.com & love it!  You can't go see it in the store, which I wasn't crazy about, but the reviews on the website were very helpful, especially the one's where people posted a pic of their assembled furniture.  The prices were hard to beat for all wood & I was able to find a set with a lot of character.

  • If I could do it all over again, I would only buy a jogging stroller and an umbrella stroller. I hardly use my Peg P3.

Now we are looking for a double jogging stroller. I want a BOB but cant justisfy the cost. We just don't use it enough. But I'm hoping I can sell my P3 and make $100 or so. I think we'll get the Tike Tech like the PP.

I bought a crib from JCP and we love it. It's convertible so can be a double bed when the time comes.
