Carseat question

The post below about Latch has me wondering if I have my DD's seat installed correctly.  We have the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 that will eventually convert to a booster.  DD currently is only 30lbs and is still in the 5 point harness.  I have it attached using the Latch system.  When she is too big to use latch and I switch to the seatbelt don't you need to have a clip to lock the seatbelt?  These posts are making me wonder if I am doing everything correctly...

Re: Carseat question

  • No, locking clips are only for cars without locking belts. Any car that has latch has a locking belt. It sounds like you probably should see a CPST to teach you more about your car and how to install your seat (with LATCH and seatbelt). Over 90% of parents have carseats installed correctly, so it certainly doesn't hurt to go see one, especially since you're second guessing yourself. It's definitely a learning curve to get it right.
