Britax expiration date?

I was given a never used, but sat around for a few years, Britax car seat and it has a manufacture date on it but not an expiration date. does anyone know what the life span is on these? Thanks!

6 years from the date on the car seat.

It should say 6 years in the manual. Which should be located underneath the cover. In case you didn't know.
