I feel horrible, fall

Benjamin fell today.

I was sitting on the floor singing, dancing and clapping to "you can call me al" with LO sitting and standing on the chair.  I was sitting right in front of him and interacting with him.  I turned my head for a few seconds to look at what song was ext to play ( I didn't even move my body) I looked back around and He toppled over the arm of the chair about 30 inches.  He landed on his shoulder and back.  I quickly picked him up and hugged him.  He began with the horrible silent cry and then had a few tears.  He cry no more than 30 seconds.

Oh boy do/did I feel like ***.  I can't believe he fell right in front of me.  I can't believe how fast things can happen...specially as he is now moving around so much now.  I guess I just have to be happy nothing more serious happened and he wasn't hurt.  And learn from this incident.

  • Glad he's ok.  I always leave my hand on Ry when I turn my head and he's even had a fall. It's an accident and we learn from them.

Poor little guy and poor mommy! He's ok and that's the most important thing.
  • The same thing happend with M. a few weeks ago. I was RIGHT THERE and she fell on.her.head!!!!!!! I freaked out beyond belief but she stopped crying after a few minutes and that was that.

  • Thanks Ladies...my DH gave be a hard time about it.  When I told him he says to me. " you know you really should hold on to him".  Wow,  thanks you captain obvious.
  • My DS has bumped his head twice in the last few days. Both times he started with the silent cry you described. BROKE my heart. We can not protect them from everything I guess.
