My GD Update

Hi all-

Went in to my high risk doctor today.  They started me on glyburide 2.5 at night.  I am hoping this will get my fasting numbers under control.  If my daytime numbers are still up and crazy like they were this last weekend, I am to also take a pill before breakfast after 3 days.  I will be having a growth ultrasound at 38 weeks.  If they determine the baby is measuring large, they will induce me that day.  If the baby is fine, they will let me go only until my due date - I will not go past June 6th.  So - baby was semi served an eviction notice (I LOL at that considering I was 15 days overdue for my mother).  I was also told I needed to set up my NST's through my other dr office - when I called they acted so clueless.  It was like they never have anyone with GD in the office.  It has been so frustrating dealing with my OB office since I have been diagnosed.  They sincerely act like they don't care and it really bugs me.  Have any of you guys had this issue with your OB office?  How soon did they get you set up with your NST's?  I was told since I was going on the medication it would be done twice a week or 1 mini u/s per week to check on baby.

Once I started insulin I started NST's 2 times a week.  I had BPP (ultra sound) at 34 weeks.  We have not talked about any more, but I think he will do one around 38w if I make it that far. 

I was never on the meds you are on, but I have to say getting my numbers under control has felt so good.  I am not as sick and have a bit of energy.  GL!
