xp: anyone do something creative with a bathtub for a baby shower?

I bought my bff the bath tub she registered for, washcloths, diapers, wipes, bath toys, hooded towel, butt cream...

I was thinking of making a diaper cake and putting it in the bathtub and then have the other items around it in the tub.  I'm not sure if a diaper cake would fit well in the tub.  Another idea was to roll the diapers up like when you make a cake but just have them around the inside of the tub and then putting the items in the middle.  I've tried searching on-line but I can't find anything. 

I'd love all suggestions and it would be great if you could PIP things you've done.  TIA!!

For my first child I remember that a punch was made in the brand new bath tub. And rubber ducks were floating around in it.

You could get some shiny blue shredded paper filler (not sure what this is called... it's like tinsel) and fill the tub so it looks like water. Maybe put a couple rubber ducks in there too. You can get a rubber duck bath water thermometer at Target.

My friend made a towel cake instead of a diaper cake. She rolled 2 towels together for the bottom layer (had something in the middle to give it a little bulk), wrapped some washcloths around a bottle of shampoo and baby wash for the second layer, and then used glue dots (in the scrapbooking section at any craft store) to secure some little toys to the cake for decorations.

I think the towel cake is a great idea! We got a diaper cake and the person who made it put tape on each diaper... ruined all but 5 or 6 taking it apart. SO if you do make a diaper cake, use little rubber bands instead of tape!!!!
