XP: Anyone live in Falcon Pointe?

If you live in or around Falcon Pointe in Pflugerville, how do you like it?  Pros/cons?  If you don't want to post here, you can e-mail me at angelaggie at msn.

well, i don't live there but i did my internship at Kelly Lane middle school. i love the houses there and from hearing what others who live in the neighborhood have said, its great! i really like the schools there and was looking into moving there in a few years. 

 

prob doesn't help but i thought i would let you know what i heard!

We're near there, in another neighborhood off Kelly Lane. Love the area!! We go to the lake all the time. 3 new schools right there. Great shopping so close (hellooo Super Target!) and more on the way (movie theater, gym, etc.)

Con would be the heinous traffic on Kelly Lane in the mornings during the school year. That many neighborhoods + 3 schools' worth of kids being dropped off + only one lane either direction = bad news. I take the back way out of our neighborhood during the school year to avoid it completely.

At least with Falcon Pointe you are ahead of most of the traffic being that you are the first neighborhood in - as opposed to Hidden Lakes which is one of the furthest back.  They are about to start the big undertaking of widening Kelly lane!  wahoo!

We are in the midst of getting a house in Blackhawk. I love the area. I have heard nothing but great things about all of the neighborhoods off of Kelly Lane. Great schools, close to toll road, Super Target and new shopping center!

As rrsnlvr said, the only bad thing is the traffic along Kelly Lane during rush hour and go to or coming from school.

omg i cannot believe i didn't even say this! coming in from g-town to KLMS, it was HORRIBLE! you either have to leave really early or really late to beat it! it really stunk!

Thanks ladies!  I'm actually looking at teaching at Hendrickson or Kelly Lane so I'd be right by work and not have to worry too much about traffic.  DH works really weird shifts and usually leaves the house around 3am and gets back around the same time. 

Angie&Doc we're looking to move there in Falcon Pointe so I can finally meet you!  Alicia loves your little boy so much!

HEB, HipHounds (Rocko's doggie daycare -LOVE LOVE them!) and our church. All super convenient w/o the hustle and bustle of larger areas.

When we win the lotto, DH and I want to open a Chipotel and Cheesecake factory in the Stone Oak Shopping place.
