WWYD?

I had planned to take DS to the YMCA today to do his evaluation for the Safe Start Swim program - we've already done the first part with him, this is just to see how much he remembers and if he needs a refresher before moving into the next part.  I know the instructor is there today, and when I've talked to her in the past about it, she said that I could just come by when she's there and we could do it.  Well, I tried calling the aquatics dept at the Y this morning and left a message to get someone to call me back.  No one did, so I just left another message.  I hope to get a call back so I can know a definitive yes or no if we could come today.

(there are two dilemmas here - one petty, the other not so much)

1) I haven't shaved my legs recently, so I'd be a little hairy if I were to just let him play in the water ("problem" b/c I would have to get in the water with him).  :)

2)  I want to get these lessons done before DD comes (and that's like 6 weeks away) and will be cutting it REALLY close if I don't get them started ASAP.

So, my question is this.  Do I get DS all ready to go, get there and hope that she would be available (there's no reason she really wouldn't be)?  And, if she's not, let him play in the water anyway?  OR, just wait for someone to call me back and do it another day?

So, WWYD?

Re: WWYD?

  • I'd just go, and not worry about hairy legs if you just swim.  Unless you haven't shaved all winter, I doubt anyone's going to notice.
