Hi Ladies, i post now and then, id like to more but restricted at work, anyway i am 38 and will be 39 in september and this is our 6 cycle (i know its not that long ttc) we are ttc our 1st, but you hear and read if you havent conceived in 6mths and over 35 see your doc, so if nothing happens this month, should i? Thank you ladies!!
Re: When would you see a doc?
I would go if nothing happens...they will probably do more tests than you OB would do so if there is a problem it can be addressed.
Hopefully you won't have to, though.
I agree completely and if you need the appt, the initial testing is pretty easy. Good luck!
I would go ahead and see one.
I was charting prior to TTC #1, had very predictable cycles and was able to get pg the very first try. Fast forward to TTC #2. I went to my OB after trying for 3 months and she wanted me to wait 6 but I just knew something was wrong. My chart was all over the place, never got a positive OPK and I had random bleeding during the month. I found another OB who went ahead and did some testing and found out there was an issue and we're treating it.
Hopefully we'll both find out we're pregnant this month!
Baby J is here! Born on her mama's birthday.
11 pounds, 7 ounces and 23" long at birth!

I would go ahead an make an appt. It might take a few weeks to be seen. Praying that you won't need the appt, but if you do, you will be ready for the testing.
I started asking my OB for testing after 7 months TTC #3. She made me feel like I was being impatient, so I made my own RE appt. Thankfully I did, because through testing, we found out I have poor ovarian reserve. "Just keep trying" wasn't going to cut it for me!
?YES! I say stop wasting time and get some more help. It'll only frustrate you if you don't. And don't just go to your ob/gyn, go see an RE (if your ins covers it or if you can afford it). I wasted time going to a few different ob/gyns and they all stunk!?
