We currently live in Williamson county and are going to be moving to Travis county.
Do we need to register our cars any differently? Reason I ask is because they are due this month and next. I don't want to pay twice.
How much do you pay for trash service? What companies do trash removal?

Nope. Just make sure you fill out a change of address form. https://rts.texasonline.state.tx.us/NASApp/txdotrts/AddressChangeServlet

Sorry...no help on this one. It *should* be the City of Austin that does your trash services, but don't quote me on that. We live in a MUD district so our waste bill is lumped in with our water bill, serviced by IESI.
if you are in the city of Austin its part of your electric/water bill.
outside Austin, you will most likely have to get a private service for trash.

Awesome! Thanks so much. KateAggie - yes, we are going to be in Pflugerville!! I will look up the info on trash service. We use Reliant now, so I guess I will just transfer service, awesome!
Thanks!!

Your cars should be registered in the county where you live, and since they are due you can just register them with Travis Co after you have moved.
Ours get messed up often because we live in Cedar Park, but Travis Co. Wilco always tries to get us to register with them, and DH fell for it one time. When we got my new car I somehow got tags from Wilco as well.
It's no big deal though- I just fixed them both by using the Travis Co website instead of Wilco. No extra fees, didn't have to pay twice (I waited until they were ready for renewal though).
