Is anyone else bothered by how much stuff the moms have in the crib???  Maybe I am overly paranoid...

the one from last night was awful and the baby was covered by that blanket right in front of her face, not swaddled...just right below the face.

exactly...Do they not know? Or do they think "It won't happen to me?"  (which is probably why they ended up pregnant in the first place)

I think about this every single time I watch. I wish the MTV people would say something to them. DH hates that I watch it, it's one of those things that's like a train wreck...I just can't turn away.

its like a train wreck for me too but I can't turn it off....I think its because DH has a cousin who got pg in HS, dropped out and now is realizing she doesn't want to be a mom and ditches the baby on other people all the time just like Farrah did...she wants to continue her teen life.....its really sad but I can't help watching it

I was just telling DH about this tonight. I have been watching that show since the first season and it seems like in every episode there is either a bottle in the microwave or a blanket in the crib. Don't these girls read books about newborn care?

No, they probably aren't reading newborn books.  They are probably listening to their friends who are just as dumb as they are and their parents, who probably put them on their stomachs to sleep when they were babies.
