I'm a 46, and expecting my second child in Nov.  I'm originally from the states and immigrated here ten years ago. Isn't it great to live in a country that has free healthcare.

You're not kidding. Our system isn't without it's glitches but I am thankful for it everyday.

I def. agree! A woman on another board recently started bleeding and her haband wanted her to wait to see her dr instead of going to the ER because of the pricey bill they would have. Here we would never even dream of waiting around all weekend to see our dr during the week bleeding like crazy while pregnant. Wait times may be a pain sometimes but it's nice to know if I need to go to the hosptial it's free.

We are very lucky. I was looking at a post about US maternity leave, some of them get 3 weeks! I feel very lucky to live here.
