I hate menopur

All of the other injections I can handle, but menopur burns SO bad. I dread it every night! I'm on day 10 of stims, with a couple more days to go and I'm so ready to be done with it. Oh the things we'll put ourselves through.

Am I just being a baby about menopur, or does anyone else hate it this much!

I feel your pain... literally!  My nurse recommended that I let it sit for about 15 minutes after I mix it.  She said it shouldn't burn as much.  I tried it and it still burned, but it's worth a try if you haven't yet.

Hate it! this is my 5th cycle and I don't remember it hurting this bad. It used to come in powder form but I notice it is in tablet form now...did you notice this?

Also not looking forward to PIO. Ugh

Mine is in the powder, it's my first time using it so I don't know what it looked like before...so sorry you share my pain!

It really does suck, I try to inject slooooooowly to minimize the burning. I think it helps a bit.

This. I was doing it straight out of the fridge, and then tried letting it sit, and I do think this helped a bit with the sting. Sorry it's been painful. Good luck!

menopur is the absolute worst. The thing that burns is the preservative. It's a sonofabitch.

I hated it so much I would bite a pillow and in the beginning I would keep stopping my  husband so I could psych myself up.  I was so excited when they cut my dosage down to half, it really made a difference.  I had to take it for 12 days, hang in there.  The end is near, I promise.

Seriously, that one hurt like a mother!  Luckily, I only needed 1.5 doses.

I'm usually in my comfy clothes by this time and usually have a sweatshirt on when I do my injections, so I'm constantly pulling it up.   Well, for menopur, I am biting down on my sweatshirt and stomping on the floor!!!

I've been on Menopur for a few cycles and I only had one night where it stung.  My RE recommended taking it out of the fridge the morning of the evening I would be taking it (so like 10 -12 hours before the injection).

This... Mine didn't burn at all tonight but it took almost a minute to completely inject it.
