*Sofka*

Thanks for your last reply to my bath routine post! I really do not have a problem with nursing him to sleep either. I don't even mind the every 3 hour thing when he does that. It's when it's every hour that he's waking up that it gets a little rough! Just want to help him find some other ways to fall asleep so that if it is those every hour then DH can go in to comfort and help.

I hated nursing the first 6 weeks, it was just emotionally draining to me. Now I LOVE it, don't love pumping at work but I'm just so glad it is going well. Hopefully we can keep it up until 1 year. And you are completely right, I keep telling myself in the grand scheme of things a year of rough sleep is really nothing - I'll wish he needed me in the middle of the night when he's 15 or so!

Thanks again for the reminder!

  • it is def. impt for your DS to be able to fall asleep for your DH and to let your DH comfort him. We did not do so well with that, unfortunately :( Can your DH go in in the middle of the night when he wakes up and is not hungry, or maybe if he is hungry, to give him a bottle. That's what I'll try to do w/ #2 b/c it is very hard to be the only one up all night long month after month after month!

yes, he will NOT want you in his room when he's 15 :)

At 17mo old DD is already letting me know when she does not want me around, she'll push me away and it just breaks my heart. She used to be literally attached to me!
