baby dreams

So I keep reading on the other boards about "baby or pregnant" dreams.  The mother-to-be, father-to-be, even the in-laws are having premonitory dreams about the impending blessed event.  I have had no baby dreams.  Zombie dreams yes, weird everyone has spaghetti head dreams but no baby dreams.  Anyone put any stock into this stuff?  Are my psychic abilities to predict baby as broken as my lady parts?  I am not even having phantom symptoms from the MF this cycle.

Patiently waiting for AF.

I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

Re: baby dreams

  • Thanks for cracking me up with your message!

I'm with you on the weird dreams, but no baby dreams. I have dreams where people are in the wrong places - like my neighbors from here are living in houses next door to where I grew up. I have dreams where my cats talk to me - in English. But no baby dreams.

Well, one exception. When I was a teenager, I had a dream that I was walking hand-in-hand through a meadow with a little girl who was my daughter.  But honestly? The subconscious does weird things in our dreams.  Wishing does weird things in our dreams. The pizza I ate at 11 p.m.....

I'm confident you can have a baby without dreaming about it first!

  • If dreams predict real life I'm totally screwed because last week I had a dream that my DH told me he was leaving me but not for Pam Anderson or some other Playmate for his sister!!!  I know totally gross right?  When I told him about the dream he was so mad at me and creped out!!!!

I can honestly say that I never had baby dreams before I was PG with my DD.  I hardly even dream of her now and I'm known for my ability to remember my dreams.

    My "diagnosis" is that you=normal!!!!

  • My favorite is when you have a dream about DH cheating on you or doing something else horrible and you wake up so furious at him, that you want literally kick him out of bed!  Its really funny when you are still mad after you're awake and he has no idea what he did.

I know he's walking around the house scratching his head wondering what he did!?!  My aunt did that to my uncle and she dreamed he was with "Tawney" and now the whole family always teases him about "her"!!!!!

  • You guys are cracking me up!  LOL  I did have a dream about my baby, a few days before I knew I was pg.  But, I don't think that is the norm.

I have lots of delivery room dreams, where I go in and DH isn't there and I have to track him down, but he doesn't want to come in with me.

I have a recurring dream where I am in the waiting room, waiting for a room and DH is watching a parade but has been engulfed by it and can't find his way out.  I call him but he can't come because he has to go get something to eat.  Priorities. And I have to tell you ,(in real life) when I was in labor, DH went to go get something from our house - we lived 5 min from the hospital - and grab a bite at Carl's Jr.  The line was really long and he was stuck in it.  By the time he got back, I was irritated with him (dream fulfillment, lol).  He only got a few bites of that hamburger too.  I had to suffer with his onion breath while he was telling me to breathe.  Ha ha!

After I had my m/c, I dreamed that I had two kids, one was pushing a stroller for the other.  It helped to calm down my fears a bit.

I don't think dreams really mean anything, just our subconscious working with or against us.  I have a lot of dreams where I realize, in the middle that I've had that dream before and actually talk about it in my dream.  :D
