Um.. what is going on with lefty? {BFing related}

My feeding routine hasn't changed in terms of frequency or what general time of day I pump/nurse, but I have been pumping a lot more often (in place of nursing) while we clear up Camy's face. 

Suddenly lefty is HUGE. I mean, overnight. I woke up this morning and the left side was like 2 sizes bigger than the right but I still pumped the same amount I usually do. I tried pumping longer, compressions, hand expressing and using my manual pump on that side for a little while after using the big pump - I was not able to get more milk. But its still huge, even after I just pumped!

What gives? I don't feel engorged but it is a bit uncomfortable. And I look ridiculous. DH noticed this morning too.

Why would there be such a drastic size change all of a sudden?

could you have a clogged duct (or two or three)?  I've been having problems on both sides for the last couple of weeks and it can definitely make me look engorged.

I have no idea, but that did make me laugh just a bit I can only imagine all the things DH would say to me if I were lopsided!

That was my thought too.

I guess I expected more pain with a clogged duct - but that could be what it is!

So what do I do to unclog? I'm trying to remember back to our BFing class.. warm compress before nursing/pumping? Is a clogged duct what had MMT locking the door and nursing on all 4s? Cuz I don't know if I could pull that off. haha

Sometimes mine are painful, sometimes they aren't and it just look/feels more like engorement.  I just pump/bf as much as possible.  I will also massage while pumping if it seems particularly stubborn.  I haven't tried the warm compresses but it can't hurt.

Mine used to always be painful but now sometimes I have the same thing happen - my boob just gets huge.
