Hi Everyone!
I'm new here, I'm expecting my first baby in November and am looking to connect with other mommies or mommies to be who can give advice on Doctor's who deliver at the Elliott hospital. I'm currently a patient at Bedford Commons but I have some reservations about the practice. Any suggestions would be incredibly helpful!
Thank-you!
Re: Manchester Area Mommies to Be?
Hello,
I used Manchester Obstetrical Associates for both my pregnancies. https://www.manchesterob.com/
Their office is right across the parking lot from the Elliot. There are 5 OBs in the practice so it's really easy to make appointments. The office staff and all the nurses are awesome.
Welcome!
I'm a Manchester Mommy-to-be and started at Bedford Commons as well. Unfortunately, by week 12 they were very rude, had an intense wait to get into appointments and very hard to deal with either staff wise or with my insurance. (I have TriCare, which is one of the easiest insurances to work with). I transfered to Manchester OB and have never been happier!! All of their staff are fantastic, they've gone above and beyond to work around my husbands deployment schedule (and his few available times to come home) and I've never had to wait more then ten minutes to get into a room (even when I show up early). Their convenient location is real nice too, and then they can refer you right to a pediatrician within the Elliot. I would definitely recommend them above anyone else around here. Congrats on your little one!!!
I was a patient of Bedford Commons up until about 25 weeks. After touring both the Elliot and the CMC I decided to go with a CMC affiliated hospital. And I decided I really wanted the midwife experience. So, I transfered to the Dartmouth Hitchcock midwives. So far I love them. And they are really about making my delivery about me. The only practice I would stay away from is Montanarella...I have heard terrible things about her and her delivery practices.
Good luck. And check out Nini Bambini. It is a unique boutique in Bedford. They have a little store and offer a ton of classes and activities from moms and/or babies. They have a website or you can go in and check it out. They even have a free mommy and me class for moms and newborns.
I am a patient at Manchester OB also.
I just delivered my twins last week and let me tell you the nurses at Elliott were a god send to me. They held my hand and cried with me. I would highly recommend them.
Im a little late but I was at Bedford Women's Care for my DD and when their practice split up I went with the Dr who delivered me when she moved to DHMC, I delived at CMC and loved it and will this time around as well.
I hope you were able to find an OB you love I have heard great things about Eliot as well as CMC.
