DS is typically extremely content - way too easy a baby than I deserve. Lately, though, he will random cry out and get upset. He's also become ferocious about having to have something in his mouth to gnaw on. Not suck. Hands, toys, sleeves, blankets. I'm assuming it's teething because he is sometimes so miserable. I feel so badly. What have you found that works for your teether? And do you give meds? If you think it could be something else, I'm all ears. The change in his temperament tells me it has to be something and this is the only thing I can find that fits the bill.

I thought my LO started teething ... chewing, smacking gums/lips, making lots of drool with bubbles ... but the pedi checked her gums yesterday and said that she didn't feel any teeth coming through. She said that it's normal for babies to behave like this when they discover their 'mouth' as a way of exploring and discovering things. However, some babies' teeth do start to emerge as early as 2 months.
My LO won't take a teething ring either.
